Latest Version of Google Maps (5.7.) For Android

The latest version of Google Maps (5.7.) for android has officially released. There are several changes on this version, including improvements when used offline.

Through some previous series of Google maps, now Google began allowing users to download various places of Maps. This done in order to speed up the rendering process while browsing.

Now in Google Maps 5.7 it is more refined, Google allows users to download maps that can be used offline for 30 days. This feature can be used via the Labs options, then select the Download maps area.

Google claims that every area downloaded has cover 16km, including a 3D version of the building, satellite view, and some other places. Google Maps 5.7 also provides navigation with voice guidance, but is still in its beta.

Google Maps 5.7 available in the Android Market and can be used on Android 2.1 or above.
